- The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the students who undertake research studies in areas relating to subjects on tribal people of the State of Tamil Nadu.
Fellowship under the scheme will be given to those students belonging to Tamil Nadu who will undertake research/project in tribal life related subjects in Undergraduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Post Doctorate (Post-Doc) Courses in Indian Universities/ Institutions / Colleges
Candidate whose parental income limit does not exceed 8 lakhs per annum in any community are eligible for fellowship
Age limit will be maximum of 50 for male and 55 for female /transgender.
Fellowship amount will be Rs.10,000/- for UG and PG for 6 months (only if the students doing any research or project which relates to tribal communities in the final year)
Fellowship amount will be Rs.25,000/- for Ph.D. and Post-Doc for 3 years
Total no of eligible beneficiaries for each year will be 25 for UG /PG and 45 for Ph.D. and Post-Doc
Two Committees should be formed for verifying and selection of applications (screening committee for verifying the applicants data and selection committee for selecting the applicants)
Committee decision will be final for selecting the applicants.
For Ph.D. and Post -Doc students, fellowship will be released either monthly or quarterly based on the decision taken by the selection committee.
renewal will be based on the progress of previous month. Instruction will be communicated to renewal students.
- last date for applying Fellowship : 30.11.2024 . Application receiving after the due date will not be considered.
- Before proceeding to apply, please ensure that you have a scanned copy of passport size photo, community certificate, income certificate, previous degree certificate, declaration form from the college
- All upload file should be less than 1 MB.
- Once applied, the data cannot be changed.
- Mobile number details should be provided. Incase of not having a personal mobile number, guardian's mobile number should be provided for any further correspondence in this regard.

- Bank details should be checked once, before applying for scholarship.
